Confederate States Navy
Extraordinary courage from a service that was always out numbered but never detered. From Hampton Roads to the Bering Sea, the Confederate States Navy served valiantly, and in fact was the last organized command to cease hostilities when the Confederate raider CSS Shenandoah, after circumnavigating the globe, sailed into British waters in November of 1865, and struck her colors.

The Heroic Hunley
The H.L. Hunley was the first submarine to sink an enemy warship when on February 17th, 1864 she attacked and sank the USS Housatonic outside of Charleston harbor. Unfortunately, she too was lost and the fate of her crew was known but to God until her recovery in 2000.
